Paper Round Late at Night?

My friend said he would walk around with me whilst I do my paper round. We both suggested doing at night so we don't have to get up early in the morning, whilst personally I am up for it I cant help think the disadvantages e.g. waking up neighbours, dogs barking etc. Of course I know that we have to be quiet but I thought doing it tonight would be a good idea so I can lie in in the morning etc, I have thought about just leaving the papers on peoples doorsteps (the paper is a free weekly one so I guess most people dump it) The company tho wants me to post them through but I dont see any harm just leaving them on doorstep as long as they are delivered right? Does anybody agree with this or has done it before? I would probably go out between 11 and 12pm and it takes me around 2 hours.
