Why do think Socialism has never been a force in United States politics?

The nature of the founding fathers was that of capitalism, even in their debates whenever socialism came up, it was vehemently challenged. And look what happens when u let constrict government intervention on company owbnership: Look at every important city in the world and see what companies operate there (US companies)...this is how to create super power. namely P&G, JOhnson & Johnson, Altria, Exxon, McDonalds, Nike, etc.
