Im scared of my atiel it bites, hisses and corners itself?

I bought a atiel two days ago and each day I walked to it slowly and talked to it quietly. Then today I tried letting it out by opening the cage and it jumped out. It flew to another area of the room and its crest was high up and it didnt move. I knew it was scared. Then it flew off again and when I try to pick it up with one finger it hisses at me! Its so scary and it kneels its head like its ready to retaliate. I knew I couldnt touch it so I brought the cage to him and he jumped in. I need serious help what to do next because I thought I gained the atiel's trust. It wasnt scared at all when I am next to its cage and talk to it.. only when I take it out.
