This boy says he fancies me and my friend?!?

he says the same sort of stuff to us both and i am confused, who does he like? He im's me alot and flirts with me, and tells me he thinks im really hot.. i dont know him very well so i dont want to ask him straight out.. Do you fancy me or her.. Cos he hasnt told me that he likes me.. Hes told other people who have told me.. How do i ask him subtly whether he likes me or her?!
