Zelda twilight princess HELP?

Have you become a wolf yet? When you do, Midna asks you to find her a shield and sword. You have to get the shield that was meant for Link to take to Hyrule from the carpenter. I think you get the metal sword when you go to Castle Town, but I'm not sure. It's probably best to look for a walkthrough on the internet because then you can follow it from where you are.
